Building community and creating social change by raising our voices in song.

Be a Part of Our Fifth Section!

“I can’t sing—trust me on that! But from the first time I heard One Voice in concert I knew I had to be involved. It wasn’t just that the group sounded good, it was DOING good. It is so rewarding seeing the positive impact One Voice has on the community, and I’m so honored to be a part of the work!”
– member of One Voice’s “Fifth Section”

Most choirs are made up of four singing sections: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Because of the central role that volunteers play in the One Voice community, we have created a Fifth Section that includes our many volunteers, who provide everything from ushering to ticket management to bookkeeping for the organization. Come join our Fifth Section!

LGBT individuals face deeply-rooted stereotypes and, frequently, discrimination. One Voice programs (concerts, school outreach, tours) connects performers with audiences, and builds the familiarity that links to acceptance. By volunteering with One Voice Mixed Chorus, you can build connections that strengthen the LGBTA community and help prevent violence and discrimination. One Voice provides on-site training in event planning and execution, marketing, and social media, among other things. Plus, it’s a great time!

One Voice seeks friendly, helpful and reliable individuals who are looking to contribute their time to make a positive impact on the community. If this sounds like you, please consider joining our “Fifth Section” team of more than 50 volunteers, who collectively contribute between 3,000 and 4,000 hours annually. Be a part of a growing community, dedicated to creating social change by raising our voices in song.

Many of our volunteers help out in our office, serve on committees, and participate at One Voice events. We need:
